Hush, my dress hears you

When I was 18 I became a student of Academy of Fine arts and stayed there for 6 years. I remember the first painting lesson: a teacher showed us Andrew Wyeth’s artworks. Looking at them, I thought that at that moment the time stood still, and the whole vanity of the world disappeared. I still do not know the name of any of his artworks, but that heavenly sense of peace from his art, I will remember for the rest of my life. To be honest, I’d been searching perfect form for my illustrations for a long time. Many styles, techniques, mediums I used in process of creation made me realized that I was confused. Looking at the charming Delpozo’s dresses I remembered magic serenity of Wyeth’s art and imagined how interesting these dresses can fit into the space of his paintings. By using painter’s artworks, I wanted to take a new look at clothes and fashion-illustration in general, to give it new meaning but save an ideology of Wyeth and Delpozo at the same time. But the most of all I would like people looking at my illustrations to stop for a moment, feel peace, forget about all the problems inherent to the modern fast-developing world, and simply enjoy the beauty as it is.
